The Strawberry Crest Chargers will square off against the Gaither Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gaither took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Strawberry Crest, who comes in off a win.
Strawberry Crest's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Freedom with a sharp 18-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.
Destiny Bryant made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Strawberry Crest got a massive performance out of Lola Coole, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave Coole a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Cater, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Gaither came up short against Wiregrass Ranch on Tuesday and fell 10-5.
Like Strawberry Crest, Gaither also got a great game from a two-way player: Kacey Wilkes. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and eight unearned) runs off ten hits. Wilkes was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Riley Russell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
The victory made it two in a row for Strawberry Crest and bumps their season record up to 6-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Gaither, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.
Strawberry Crest took their victory against Gaither in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 10-1 score. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cowboys turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
