Basketball Recap: Weaver Picks Up 14th Straight Win at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weaver). They were the clear victor by a 77-52 margin over the Civic Leadership Eagles on Tuesday. The Beavers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 25 points or more this season.

Weaver pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.9 points per game. As for Civic Leadership, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record.

When Weaver and Civic Leadership next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Weaver will try to stop Classical Magnet's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Civic Leadership will take on Academy of Science and Innovation and their seven-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
