The Oswego Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Yorkville Foxes at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Oswego will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Oswego's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Jacobs as they made off with a 16-0 win. Considering the Panthers have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaelynn Anthony was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Natalie Muellner was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Aubriella Garza, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Oswego kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive games.
Yorkville came out on top against Bolingbrook on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Foxes were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Raiders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Foxes.
Yorkville got a big performance out of Callie Ferko, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That triple was Ferko's first of the season. Kayla Kersting was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Oswego's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Yorkville, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 8-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Oswego hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Yorkville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Oswego took their win against Yorkville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
