Basketball Recap: iMater Charter Takes a Loss

IMater Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack 63-13.

Schoolhouse Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lya Gonzalez, who posted 15 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Gonzalez has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aura Bingham, who went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points and eight steals.

IMater Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Schoolhouse Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

IMater Charter will face off against Immaculata-La Salle at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for Schoolhouse Prep, they will challenge Palmer Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Schoolhouse Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season.
