Marquette Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Riverton Hawks. That's more bragging rights for the Explorers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Marquette Catholic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 15-9.

Marquette Catholic's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Riverton, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-8.
