Soccer Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison lost against Sharpstown back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Madison Marlins fell just short of the Sharpstown Apollos by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Marlins have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Madison and nudges their season record down to 2-4-1. As for Sharpstown, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Madison will take on Galena Park at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Sharpstown, they will head out on the road to face off against Sterling at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Sharpstown is facing Sterling at the right time seeing as Sterling is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
