Winona had lost nine games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-11 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kasson-Mantorville Komets, sneaking past 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Winhawks also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

As for Kasson-Mantorville, they now have a losing record of 6-7. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Kasson-Mantorville's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Babcock, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Winona has already played their next game (against Byron), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Kasson-Mantorville, they will be playing at home against Zumbrota-Mazeppa at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
