Boca Ciega posted their closest win since November 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Seminole Warhawks, sneaking past 57-54. Those 57 points were actually the fewest the Pirates have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Boca Ciega's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keshawn Andrews, who went 6-for-12 en route to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks. Andrews is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Gregory Samuels, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 16 points and five boards.

Boca Ciega was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Boca Ciega's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 64.0 points this season. As for Seminole, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boca Ciega will welcome St. Petersburg at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Seminole, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dunedin at 7:45 p.m.
