Preview: Wabash Apaches vs. North Miami Warriors
Wabash is 10-0 against North Miami since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Wabash Apaches will head out on the road to square off against the North Miami Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Wabash focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
Even though Wabash has not done well against Mississinewa recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Wabash skirted past Mississinewa 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Wabash has posted yet this season.
Trevor Daughtry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Izaak Wright, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, North Miami came up short against North Judson-San Pierre on Saturday and fell 58-48. While losing is never fun, North Miami can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 419th, while North Judson-San Pierre is ranked 197th).
Wabash has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for North Miami, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Everything came up roses for Wabash against North Miami in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 75-33 win. With Wabash ahead 35-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
