Recap: Smithtown Christian Knights vs. Bridgehampton Killer Bees
The Smithtown Christian Knights came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 69-58 win over Bridgehampton. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Isaiah McCarter, who scored 23 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo Crilly, who scored 16 points.
Smithtown Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Bridgehampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smithtown Christian will take on the Islanders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shelter Island will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 785th, while the Knights are ranked 311th). As for Bridgehampton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Settlers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
