Smoky Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ben Brown led the charge by scoring 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Smoky Mountain's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Custer Prenger, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds.
Smoky Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
Smoky Mountain and North Henderson will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North Henderson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 632 points over their last nine matches. Veritas Christian Academy and Lake Lure Classical Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lake Lure Classical Academy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
