Swansea won the last time they faced Fox Creek and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Predators by a score of 24-13. The 24-point effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Fox Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Wallace, who threw for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 37 yards. Wallace's passing game has become a key predictor of the Predators' success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. Manny Abro also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.

Swansea's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Fox Creek, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Swansea is set to square off against their familiar foe Newberry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tigers 13.8, the Bulldogs 14.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Fox Creek will face off against rival Silver Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
