Basketball Recap: Ouray Takes a Loss

Ouray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They took a blow against the Dolores Bears, falling 38-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 0-0 loss back in January.

Among those leading the charge was Taylor Erautt, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 15 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Savannah Stiegelmeyer was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards.

Ouray's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Dolores, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

Ouray wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-12 loss against Mancos on the 8th. As for Dolores, they will square off against Sargent at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
