Baseball Game Preview: Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials vs. Quakertown Panthers

For the second straight game, Plymouth Whitemarsh will face off against Quakertown. The Colonials will challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Plymouth Whitemarsh's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Quakertown's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Plymouth Whitemarsh fell victim to Quakertown and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Colonials fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Tuesday.

For Quakertown's part, Maccen Probition tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Probition also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Panthers are undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carter Tucholski, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Brady Martin, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

The victory (which was Quakertown's third in a row) raised their record to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
