Basketball Recap: Manatee Comes Up Short

Manatee lost against Tampa Bay Tech back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hurricanes took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

Tampa Bay Tech had a senior duo take command as Dexter Lawson dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards and Aamir Stafford dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Stafford also set a new season-high mark in blocks with three. Romeo Roberts also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.

Manatee now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Tampa Bay Tech, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Manatee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-54 defeat against Venice on the 5th. As for Tampa Bay Tech, they have also already played their next matchup, a 90-51 victory against Middleton on the 5th.
