Steele Canyon and Valhalla are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but likely not for long. The Steele Canyon Cougars will welcome the Valhalla Norsemen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Friday, Steele Canyon came up short against Helix and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 477th, while the Highlanders are ranked 141st).

Meanwhile, Valhalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Helix. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Norsemen couldn't quite close it out.

Steele Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Valhalla, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Steele Canyon took their win against Valhalla in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0. Will Steele Canyon repeat their success, or does Valhalla have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
