Preview: Baldwin Indians vs. Ribault Trojans

The Baldwin Indians will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Ribault Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on October 26th. Baldwin will be strutting in after a win while Ribault will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Baldwin never let their opponents score. They blew past West Nassau 35-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Baldwin, who have now won three games by 35 points or more so far this season.

Neshawn Jacobs continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 188 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Jacobs really tore up the turf during one magnificent 89-yard run. Kelvin Brown also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Ribault's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 28-20 to ED White.

The losing side was boosted by Timothy Cole, who rushed for 22 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 215 yards and a touchdown.

Baldwin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Ribault, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5.

Baldwin beat Ribault 23-16 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baldwin since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
