Basketball Recap: Mckinney Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Whitesboro

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McKinney Christian Academy). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 65-14 win over the Whitesboro Bearcats. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

McKinney Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Elizabeth Thompson, who shot 67% from the field on her way to 31 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thompson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Petra Westra, who went 8-for-13 en route to 17 points and five steals.

McKinney Christian Academy's record now sits at 7-2. As for Whitesboro, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, McKinney Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Texoma Christian at 2:20 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitesboro, they and Tioga will face off at 6:20 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Bearcats are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
