Softball Recap: Oxbridge Academy Comes Up Short

Oxbridge Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 11-1 to the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack.

Oxbridge Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ila Trueblood, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Oxbridge Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Schoolhouse Prep, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oxbridge Academy will take on Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Schoolhouse Prep, they will face off against St. Brendan at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Brendan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
