Softball Recap: Westlake Comes Up Short

Westlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-6 to the Great Mills Hornets. The Wolverines were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Great Mills, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westlake will challenge Patuxent at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Great Mills, they will venture away from home to face off against Southern at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
