Softball Recap: Academy of Our Lady of Peace Takes a Loss

Academy of Our Lady of Peace fell victim to La Costa Canyon and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Mavericks, falling 7-0. The Pilots just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Gehler, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for La Costa Canyon, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Academy of Our Lady of Peace is taking a road trip to face off against Escondido Charter at 4:00 p.m. on April 2. As for La Costa Canyon, they will head out to take on Grossmont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
