Basketball Recap: Liberty County Wins Going Away Against Jefferson County

On Tuesday, the Liberty County Bulldogs strolled past the Jefferson County Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 48-31.

Liberty County found their leader in freshman Kaylee Sexton, who posted 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sexton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Haven Davis, who earned 11 points.

Despite the loss, Jefferson County still got an impressive performance from Haley Schmigel, who put up ten points along with five boards and three steals. Samiah Washington was another key player, putting up three points and six steals.

Liberty County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Jefferson County, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6.
