Basketball Recap: Davenport Falls to George Jenkins in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Davenport unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 73-66 to the George Jenkins Eagles on Tuesday. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davenport is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Osceola at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Broncos' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for George Jenkins, they will take on Bartow at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
