Preview: Golden Demons vs. Casteel Colts
Having just played yesterday, the Golden Demons will jump right back in to play the Casteel Colts at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Golden focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Golden earned a 50-43 victory over Red Mountain. The victory was just what Golden needed coming off of a 57-31 loss in their prior match.
Golden can attribute much of their success to Allie Neal, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Kempley Wellman, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wellman pulled down eight or more rebounds. Ashlyn Bates was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Casteel unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Westminster by a score of 38-35.
The win got Golden back to even at 4-4. As for Casteel, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
