North County extends home losing streak to eight

Recap: North County Knights vs. Broadneck Bruins

The North County Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Broadneck at home and fell 51-24. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North County in their matchups with Broadneck: they've now lost six in a row.

London Best continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Broadneck, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Best hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Ginger Kerdock was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven steals and six rebounds.

North County's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for Broadneck, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

North County will challenge Severn School at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Severn School presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North County in Maryland (Severn School is ranked 102nd, while North County is ranked 205th). As for Broadneck, they will be playing at home against Old Mill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Old Mill is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
