Basketball Recap: South Fork Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Fork can now relate to. They took a 56-37 bruising from the Belen Jesuit Wolverines on Wednesday.

Belen Jesuit's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nicholas Misiunas, who went 7-for-9 en route to 14 points and seven boards. Those 14 points gave Misiunas a new career-high. Orlando Roche was another key player, going 7-for-15 on his way to 18 points.

South Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Belen Jesuit, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

South Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Belen Jesuit, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-46 loss against Pembroke Pines Charter on the 17th.
