Softball Recap: Gateway Takes a Loss

Gateway lost against McKeesport back in March of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gators came up short against the Tigers, falling 13-2. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gateway saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abbie Leff, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Gateway now has a losing record of 3-4. As for McKeesport, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Gateway will challenge Kiski Area at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McKeesport, they will face off against Franklin Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
