Volleyball Game Preview: Bethlehem Catholic Hawks vs. Freedom Patriots

Bethlehem Catholic is on an 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Freedom is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hawks will welcome the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Bethlehem Catholic made easy work of Nazareth Area and carried off a 3-0 win.

Bethlehem Catholic never let Nazareth Area on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-7, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Freedom got the win against Northampton on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Freedom won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25, 25-12.

Bethlehem Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Freedom, their win bumped their record up to 20-5-2.

Bethlehem Catholic beat Freedom 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
