Football Recap: S & S Consolidated Drops Season-High Score on Rivercrest

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask S & S Consolidated). They secured a 47-42 W over the Rivercrest Rebels on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Hunter Courville had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 129 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 304 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 304 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Joe Orr was another key player, picking up 120 receiving yards and one score.

The win got S & S Consolidated back to even at 2-2. As for Rivercrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. S & S Consolidated will venture away from home to face off against Howe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Rivercrest, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Alba-Golden at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
