After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westview, Canby was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Mountainside Mavericks 9-8. Allison Hayzlett made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). Hayzlett has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
