Softball Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

Wagner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against the Boerne-Champion Chargers, falling 16-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbirds of the 20-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Wagner's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18-1. As for Boerne-Champion, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wagner is set to face off against their familiar foe Alamo Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Boerne-Champion will square off against rival Tivy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
