Volleyball Game Preview: Reedley Pirates vs. Immanuel Eagles

The Reedley Pirates will head out on the road to challenge the Immanuel Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Tuesday, Reedley made easy work of Sierra Pacific and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-9, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Immanuel got the win against Washington Union on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Immanuel won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Immanuel now has a winning record of 17-16. As for Reedley, their victory bumped their record up to 23-11-1.

Reedley might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Immanuel in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
