Basketball Recap: Archbishop Spalding Picks Up 13th Straight Win at Home

Archbishop Spalding had won 12 straight home games dating back to last season and Elijah Barrett did his part to make it 13 on Monday. The Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers strolled past the Calvert Hall Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 73-54 thanks in part to Barrett, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 24 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Terrence Moultrie Jr was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Archbishop Spalding has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Calvert Hall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Archbishop Spalding will head out on the road to challenge John Carroll at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calvert Hall, they will square off against McDonogh at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Calvert Hall has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
