Niles West is a perfect 3-0 against Amundsen since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolves will host the Vikings at 4:45 p.m. Niles West is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Niles West came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Mundelein, falling 12-4.

Ava Kolbe made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Sarah Park was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Amundsen came up short against Payton College Prep on Wednesday and fell 5-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amundsen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lydia Hulliberger, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Hulliberger is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Niles West's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Amundsen, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Niles West took their victory against Amundsen in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
