Baseball Recap: Cory-Rawson Takes a Loss

Cory-Rawson fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Arlington on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 6-5. The Fighting Hornets haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Cory-Rawson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaedyn Witteman, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Cory-Rawson's record now sits at 4-12. As for Arlington, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-15.

Looking ahead, Cory-Rawson will take on Pandora-Gilboa at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Arlington, they will square off against Bucyrus at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
