Baseball Game Preview: Valley Head Tigers vs. Ider Hornets

For the second straight game, Valley Head will face off against Ider. The Tigers will face off against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Valley Head and Ider had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tigers took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets on Tuesday.

Valley Head saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Baty, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one RBI. That hit was Baty's first of the season.

Ider is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Valley Head, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9.
