Volleyball Game Preview: Coastal Academy Stingrays vs. Escondido Charter Tigers

The Coastal Academy Stingrays will head out on the road to take on the Escondido Charter Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Coastal Academy beat Oceanside 3-1.

The victory didn't come easy: Oceanside scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 20-25, 27-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Escondido Charter got the win against Orange Glen on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won four in a row.

While Escondido Charter won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-22.

Escondido Charter's record is now 23-11. As for Coastal Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Coastal Academy came up short against Escondido Charter in their previous meeting back in March, falling 3-1. Can the Stingrays avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
