Baseball Recap: Rhinebeck Takes a Loss

Rhinebeck couldn't beat Dover on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Hawks fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 5-4. The Hawks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row dating back to last season.

Rhinebeck got a good showing from James Jacox, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Jacob Stephan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Rhinebeck's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Dover, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Rhinebeck will welcome Onteora at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Dover, they will head out on the road to square off against Millbrook at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
