Softball Recap: Lake Mary Comes Up Short

Lake Mary lost against Seminole back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lake Mary lost 19-1 to Seminole. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured ten losses in a row.

Lake Mary saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaci Kidd, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Lake Mary hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive matchups.

Lake Mary's record now sits at 2-13. As for Seminole, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Mary will square off against University at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Mary's pitchers better be ready for this one: University has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Seminole, they will head out to square off against Mount Dora Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
