Gardner came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Narragansett Regional Warriors by a score of 8-5. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Warriors back in April, they had to take a 14-13 loss.

Gardner's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Narragansett Regional, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Gardner will square off against West Boylston at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
