Volleyball Game Preview: Newtown Pioneers vs. Flushing Red Devils

The Newtown Pioneers will venture away from home to face off against the Flushing Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Newtown sitting on three straight wins and Flushing on four.

Last Wednesday, it was close, but Newtown sidestepped Forest Hills for a 2-1 victory.

Meanwhile, Flushing beat Metropolitan 2-0 on Wednesday.

Flushing's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Newtown, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Newtown came up short against Flushing in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 2-0. Can the Pioneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
