Volleyball Recap: Celebration Takes a Loss

After flying high against St. Cloud last Friday, Celebration came back down to earth. The Storm came up short against the Academy of Central Florida National Golden Bulls on Monday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bulls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 25-10.

Daniel Santiago paced Celebration's offense, picking up 13 kills. Santiago got some help from Oliver Binet and his 23 assists.

With the loss, Celebration broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7. As for Academy of Central Florida National, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Celebration will welcome Tohopekaliga at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Academy of Central Florida National, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Forest Lake Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
