Baseball Recap: Golden Valley Comes Up Short

Golden Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saugus Centurions. The Grizzlies were not able to make up for their defeat to the Centurions from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Ayden Renstrom spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.

Golden Valley's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Saugus, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Centurions beat Golden Valley by a score of 4-2 on Thursday.
