Football Recap: Greenback Victorious + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tellico Plains, Greenback was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 13-12 photo finish over the Cosby Eagles.

Elliott Lindsey was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 180 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Greenback was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 245 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Despite the loss, Cosby still got an impressive performance from David Baker, who rushed for 151 yards and a pair of TDs.

The victory got Greenback back to even at 1-1. As for Cosby, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenback will welcome Midway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Cherokees their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Cosby, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cumberland Gap at 7:00 p.m.
