Football Recap: Russell County Skates Past JAG with Ease

While Russell County put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for JAG. The Warriors breezed past the Jaguars to the tune of 40-0. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Russell County found their leader in freshman Kora Perry, who threw for 87 yards and three TDs on only eight passes.

Russell County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Jada Flournoy led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Russell County's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Russell County will square off against Carver Montgomery at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for JAG, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Central at 6:30 p.m. on October 21.
