Volleyball Game Preview: Eastlake Wolves vs. Mercer Island Islanders + How To Watch

The Eastlake Wolves will head out to face off against the Mercer Island Islanders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Eastlake didn't have quite enough to beat Woodinville and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Eastlake sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 22-25, 25-15, 23-25, 15-9.

Despite the loss, Eastlake got top-tier performance from Renna Chow, who had 28 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, Chow is now averaging an impressive 10.6 digs per game. Anna Murphy also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Mercer Island didn't have quite enough to beat Seattle Prep on Friday and fell 3-2. The Islanders haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mercer Island's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Eastlake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1.

Eastlake was able to grind out a solid victory over Mercer Island in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
