Recap: Eagle River Wolves vs. Service Cougars
The Eagle River Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Service 55-28. Eagle River has struggled against Service recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Eagle River still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Rollman, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Service to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karlierose Lealaisalanos, who scored 17 points. Lealaisalanos is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aryanna Watson, who scored 14 points.
Eagle River's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Service, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle River will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Chugiak at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Eagle River focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Thursday. As for Service, they and Grace Christian will face off at 8:15 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Service is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
