Crockett is 0-4 against Coldspring-Oakhurst since March of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Crockett Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Crockett will be strutting in after a win while Coldspring-Oakhurst will be coming in after a loss.
Crockett will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs last Friday, then bounced right back against Hull-Daisetta on Tuesday. Crockett's pitchers stepped up to hand Hull-Daisetta a 17-0 shutout. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Alexandra Kane and Marissa Allison were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Kane pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Allison pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kane has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Kane went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Allison scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most RBI Kane has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Crockett let Arieanna Galicia and Katherine Kane run wild. Galicia went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs, while Kane scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Kane has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Akeelah Whitting, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
Crockett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Coldspring-Oakhurst suffered their biggest defeat since February 17th last Friday. They came up short against Huntington, falling 13-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Trojans' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.
Coldspring-Oakhurst saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trinity Rosales, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Coldspring-Oakhurst's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Crockett, their record is now 7-2.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Crockett has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .491. However, it's not like Coldspring-Oakhurst struggles in that department as they've averaged .460. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Crockett suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Coldspring-Oakhurst in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Crockett avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
