Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Valparaiso

Valparaiso posted their closest win since April 7th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Crown Point Bulldogs 3-2. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Valparaiso wouldn't go down easily and took Crown Point into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-21, 16-14.

Valparaiso found their leader in sophomore Colton Allen, who had nine digs and three aces. Allen also set a new season-high mark in assists with 21.

Valparaiso was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matchups.

Valparaiso pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Crown Point, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Valparaiso didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lake Central on the 3rd. As for Crown Point, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Munster on the 3rd.
