Soccer Recap: Western Branch Comes Up Short

Western Branch lost against Smithfield back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bruins fell just short of the Packers by a score of 1-0.

Western Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Smithfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Branch will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Smithfield, they will host Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
